Prior to starting Shenouda Associates Inc., Judy taught English and Language Arts courses at the secondary, post-secondary and college level; provided academic support and career services at the college level; and worked as a freelance writer. An active member of the professional communication community, Judy has served on the advisory board for SUNY Institute of Technology, in Utica, NY and has volunteered for the Rochester, NY Ad Council roundtables.

She has been a senior member of the Society for Technical Communication; a member of the Genesee Valley Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development; and a member of Toasted Sage, a Toastmasters International club. She has gained recognition as an Advanced Communicator Bronze (ACB) and an Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB). Judy is a frequent presenter at local, national and international conferences.

Judy was a founder of Thinking Forward, a troupe of professional speakers that inspired executives, managers, decision-makers, and influencers in business, education, healthcare, government, and other for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to open their minds and hearts to innovative, creative, world-class ideas. As thought leaders in their own disciplines, Thinking Forward speakers provided diverse perspectives on a theme of interest, igniting one’s ability to connect ideas, network with others, influence constituencies, and transform the communities in which they work and live—for good!

Owner of Shenouda Associates, a business dedicated to writing and editing technical and business publications, Judy is a networker extraordinaire. At the hub of a thriving network of professional associates, she believes that networking comes down to connecting with others in a meaningful way.

A seasoned educator and communicator, she

  • Remembers faces, names and conversations
  • Offers assistance, provides encouragement and applauds efforts and successes
  • Cares about others and introduces them to those who can benefit from the introduction

Judy makes it a priority to connect with the next generation of workers, recognizing their rich potential and capabilities using new media as modes of communication. At the same time, she applauds the technical acumen, product knowledge, facility with many publishing tools and sound judgment of experienced workers.
